The Problem

Misaligned Buy Box Design for the Offer

GHR Platinum's original buy box off and recharge purchase options snippet wasn't performing as well as they'd like and didn't to connect the product offers into the UI in a way that was crystal clear to the end consumer.

The Solution

Custom Buy Box Design + Sister Product Setup

For reporting and fulfillment reasons it was important to keep the different "supply length" offers (ie: 1 month supply, 3 month supply, etc) as individual products/skus instead of a single sku with multiple delivery options.

So we started by identifying each offer and which 'sister' product offers should be displayed as an additional option.

On the actual product pages, we created a custom variant selector that read from an additional custom metafield containing the sister products and displayed a "Bottles"label with each sister product as an option.

Since these aren't true variant options, instead of changing variants when clicked, we refresh the page contents with the sister product's information.

The Results

The new buy box gives GHR Platinum a purchase experience that finally matches how the product line is actually sold.

Customers can move between supply lengths (1 month, 3 month, etc.) without leaving the product page or losing their place, since each sister product's info loads dynamically instead of forcing a full navigation away from the page.

Behind the scenes, GHR Platinum keeps every supply length as its own SKU, preserving clean reporting and fulfillment, while the front end presents those SKUs as a single, unified offer.

The Recharge selling plan and discounting setup layers subscription pricing directly into this same flow, so one-time and subscription options live side by side without conflicting or confusing the shopper.

Conclusion

By treating the sister product relationships as a design and data problem rather than forcing a workaround at the variant level, we were able to give GHR Platinum a buy box that's clear to shoppers and still fits the backend structure their team relies on.

The result is a product page that better reflects the actual offer, reduces friction in the decision-making process, and sets up a cleaner foundation for any future offers or supply lengths they want to add.
